“Images” In these particular pieces of art the artist draws his inspiration from his familiar surroundings, but also from the wider environment of the city. By using photography he captures instant images of everyday life through a game of images and reflections.The processing of this material makes up the basis of his paintings, where familiar images seem unfamiliar in these frames of delusions and the light is trapped in various mirrors corroding any sense of logic. “Maceo Parker” The legendary Maceo Parker will be appearing at the Pallas Theatre in Athens, Greece. His name has become synonymous with funk and groove after the legendary saxophonist established himself playing with James, Brown, George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. His fame as a groove artist grew out of his collaboration with James Brown and the JB Horns (Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis).

“Scriptorium II – Retrospective painting exhibition by Kostas Evaggelatos” The artistic creation of Evaggelatos is undoubtedly distinguished for the character of his quests and the wealth of his combinations. “Tracing Istanbul” The City of Athens “Technopolis” welcomes the group art exhibition of 101 Greek artists “Tracing Istanbul,” following the exhibition’s huge success last August at the Holy Theological School of Halki and the Sismanoglio Megaro of the Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul. The organisation of the exhibition is implemented by the White Fox TV-Film production company. Hours open: 10:00-22:00

“Woman as Muse, 1900-1950” The Herakleidon Museum in Athens, Greece will present the exhibition titled “Woman as Muse, 1900-1950” from 3 September to 21 November. The exhibition will showcase about 90 works on paper – watercolors, prints and drawings of the first half of the 20th century by European artists (including Greeks). The works come from the Museum’s collection, the Greek National Gallery, the Alpha Bank Collection, as well as from the private collections of George Economou and Charalambos Leontiadis.
