Dance show – Kireru

RootlessRoot feat & John Parish

 

Kireru in Japanese means “outburst of anger”. Internal anxiety about the world is expressed in a constant struggle between the dancers.  The decision to dream when the brain puts limits and be free despite over-disciplined society leads to  outburst of anger and poetry with eight dancers from around the world.

Philosophy talks on Socrates Plato and Know thyself

Join James’ Monday evening talk on Socrates, Plato and Know Thyself, or Tuesday morning “walk and talk” on Aristotle. He keeps all talks simple and interesting so it’s easy to understand and fun to discuss the eternal philosophical issues such as ‘Know Thyself’.

On Mondays: talks in the bar in the evenings from 7.00 till 8.00 p.m.

On Tuesdays: “walk and talk” meet in lobby after breakfast at 10.00 a.m. (2 hour round trip.)

Continuing their wonder at the biggest European cities, the giants of Argentina arrived to thrill the inhabitants and visitors of Athens. You will find in this exhibition full dinosaur’s skeletons and life reconstructions, the biggest carnivore dinosaur that ever inhabited the planet along with the smallest, the earliest with the latest, Cretaceous birds that could not fly, dinosaurs that would learn to fly, educational activities and much more.

Supernova” exhibition

The exhibition is part of the second festival artistic prints and engravings, Athens Print Fest, organized by the Association of Greek Printmakers.

There is a constant parallelism between printmaking and as we understand the history of this supernova  “supernova phenomenon” directly related to the current reality. It’s like two voices whispering to each other two versions of the same story.

A wonderful evening full of soprano voice and Tango dancing!! Greek soprano Laura Mamakos is presenting a unique dance recital of Tango. The program takes us to the world of Tango  through  lyric voice, complemented by her accompanying pianist and dancers.

Express yourself. Part three. Doing IT!:)

The question is: “What you always wanted to do but you haven’t done yet because you are afraid/embarrassed/busy/? ”  Get a pen and write your answers down…

As a result we spent our Saturday evening dancing waltz with strangers, making race walk, drawing pictures of people from the square, dancing to  African drums  and doing lots of other crazy things!:)

Greek Dance Festival

The program changes every second Wednesday. There is a group of 75 dancers, musicians and singers. Each program includes popular stories, each one is presented with its own authentic costumes, musical instruments, songs and dances.
